Flash Games: Cargo Bridge

Posted by Matt Kendrick on Monday, 12 April, 2010

This weekend I discovered another one of those, ‘Suck the life out of you’ flash games. You know the ones where ya sit down, play and don’t realize it’s been a few hours. This one is called Cargo Bridge. It’s a construction flash game where you design/build a bridge to complete task(s). Sounds easy right? Well it is for the first few levels. But like Fantastic Contraption, it gets harder as you go. The tasks get more advanced. As you move up, you’re presented with more building materials and so on. So go ahead, get sucked in. Don’t say I didn’t warn ya.

Flash Games: Maze-A-Pix Interactive

Posted by Matt Kendrick on Thursday, 31 December, 2009

When I was a kid I sat in the back of the car and play maze games. We had this little magic drawing pad, that when you used a special marker it drew clear and then change color. I thought it was so cool! It had tons of word puzzles and maze puzzle. However I quickly realized, how much was easier it was to solve maze puzzles backwards. Ya I know, I was a little cheater!

If you like mazes too, here’s something that might keep ya entertained while bringing in the New Year. Maze-A-Pix, a fun new maze/picture game. Just like regular maze games, however there is something extra. The twist is, as you solve the puzzle you reveal a picture! Puzzles will change weekly. So come back for more later! Let’s see what today’s picture is.

Looking for more exciting maze puzzles. Check out some of these maze books from Amazon.com!

Best wishes in the New Year!

Flash Game: Etch A Sketch

Posted by Matt Kendrick on Wednesday, 2 December, 2009

Two flash games in a week? Yea I know its odd. But I got thinking about some holiday movies today. I remembered in the movie Elf, where Buddy the Elf (played by Will Ferrel) was having trouble putting together Etch A Sketches.

Elf: It’s okay, Buddy. Just how many Etch-A-Sketches did you make?
Buddy: I made… 85.
Elf: 85. Well, that puts you… 915 off the pace.
Buddy: Why don’t you just say it? I’m the worst toy-maker in the world. I’m a Cotton-Headed Ninnymuggins!

Poor Buddy. Anyways. I’ve been working on learning Flash Actionscript programming. I should have some examples up later this week. I’ve been working towards to making a doodle pad. Exciting stuff! Till then have fun playing with the Etch A Sketch.

Flash Games: Snow Day

Posted by Matt Kendrick on Sunday, 29 November, 2009

Winter/Holidays are closing in quickly. Thought I would throw up a winter/holiday theme flash game! Remember when you were a kid sitting by the radio waiting for your school to be called off for snow? I know I do. Sometimes I still listen for school closings. In this flash game you play a kid, longing for that perfect snow day! Your objective is to throw ice up into the clouds, to make them snow. Kinda like giving them a shot of turbo lax! Ok, bad reference. Unless you’ve seen Dumb and Dumber. But anyways. Very simple to play, hours to master. Move your character back and forth to aim, click/hold to set the power of your throw and release. Keep hitting clouds with ice and the snow will continue to fall. A meter on the side, tells you if you’re getting in danger of having to go school. Have fun!

Flash Games: Crush the Castle

Posted by Josh Phillips on Thursday, 20 August, 2009

One of the hottest Flash games out is “Crush the Castle”, found on ArmorGames.com. It’s back to the middle ages as you load your trebuchet with eight different projectiles ranging from small stones to 3 bomb clusters and you lay waste to kings and their castles! Load your trebuchet up and fire up to 5 shots in order to collapse the castle and send the royal family to their royal graves in a pile of debris. This game is very straightforward to play: click once to start the shot and a second time to release the shot at your desired point. You can fire one shot at a time or try to line them up rapid fire; on the later castles, using the force of momentum is key to collapsing them.

Flash Games: Bowman 2

Posted by Matt Kendrick on Wednesday, 12 August, 2009

It’s been a while since I’ve added a flash game. But I thought I would share one of my old favorites. Bowman 2 is basically a guy with this bow and arrow, poised for shooting stuff. The controls are simple, you click and pull back the mouse to aim and set your power. Let go and bowman shoots. The tricky part is getting the aiming and precision down. Bowman 2 isn’t one of those games you can play over and over again. It does lose it’s replay value very quickly. However it’s good for those fifteenth minute breaks at the office. Try it for yourself below.

Flash Games: Park A Lot 2

Posted by Matt Kendrick on Thursday, 18 June, 2009

Flash parking games are fun and challenging. However the “Park-A-Lot” series adds an additional twist to the traditional parking games. In this game you play a valet parking attendant. Your job is to take the customer’s car and park it in the spot they tell you to.Then when their ready to leave, you retrieve the car. Not bad, but try doing this when you’ve got a steady stream of customers coming and going. Very easy to get confused as to which customer has what car.

I’ve embedded “Park A Lot 2″ for you to try out. You’ll find your self quickly addicted. My advice is to yell out the parking assignments has they happen. Makes it easier to remember what car goes with which customer. Feel free to post how well ya did in the comments! You can also check out the original “Park A Lot” at http://www.miniclip.com/games/park-a-lot/en/.

Flash Games: Motherload

Posted by Heather Kendrick on Thursday, 4 June, 2009

Time for us to post up yet another addicting flash game.  This is a game that I have been playing off and on for years.  A great game when youre bored and have plenty of time to kill or if you just have a few minutes to spare.

The pretense for this game is that you are a miner being hired to work on an alien planet by a mysterious manager (Mr. Natas).  The transport ship drops you off and you immediately need to buy gas.  Now it’s time to get to work.  You start by drilling into the alien soil in search of valuable minerals.  There are many different types of minerals from ironium which earns you the least amount of money, to aconite which affords you the most.  You can also purchase upgrades for your ship as well as dynamite, plastic explosives, nanobots that will repair your ship, extra fuel cans, and matter transporters that will take you from thousands of feet underground to the surface in a matter of seconds.

But wait! There’s more to this game than meets the eye.  As you delve further underground, you begin to recieve strange transmissions from other miners…something strange is going on here!

At around 6000 feet, all of a sudden your depth meter goes haywire.  Be wary!  If you continue to delve further, you will come across a very unpleasant character!

Since I’m trying to get you to try out this fun, addicting game, I’m going to leave the rest up to your imagination.  Suffice to say, you’ll find some very interesting twists in this game.  And the best part is, you can actually SAVE your game!  So long as you access the game from the same computer, you can fly your pod to the save module and load your game so that you don’t have to beat it all in one sitting!

So good luck, and enjoy!

Flash Games: Snow Storm

Posted by Matt Kendrick on Wednesday, 13 May, 2009

Oh NO!, there’s been a snow storm! Here’s another flash game, that’s wasted at least a few hours of my life. Basic objective of the game is to clear a parking lot after a snow storm. Sound easy, right? Well it’s easy if you like puzzle games. You can pile snow up from at least three or four squares. After that the snow pile, becomes so large you can’t move it. The thing to keep in mind when painting floors or playing this game. Don’t paint yourself into a corner! That’s about all the hint, I’m gonna give ya on this one. Have fun! More cool stuff along the way tomorrow!

Flash Games: Fantastic Contraption

Posted by Matt Kendrick on Thursday, 7 May, 2009

Here’s a new flash game, I’ve become addicted to. If you were/are a big fan of Tinker Toys, Legos, or Erector Sets then listen up! This is the game for you. It’s a building game where you have to build contraptions to complete tasks. You are limited to 5 components. So put on your Macgyver thinking hat and get to work! If you get stuck there are some videos on YouTube that can help you out. But don’t cheat. Be original! Hopefully soon I should have more flash games up for you readers to enjoy.
