Blacksmithing – Table Snake

Posted by admin on Wednesday, 16 February, 2011

Tonight was an excellent night for forging outdoors using the coal forge. The wind was fairly calm and much warmer than normal for this time of the year. Since it was our first night back after a three week hiatus. Jeff had us work freestyle with 1/2 inch round stock. It was a little challenging for us. We’re not use to that large of material. Dave went to work on a door hanger hook while I got an artistic hair. What started out as an end for hook ended up being this. Meet the table snake! Got left over meat? I don’t think so!

Get Simpsonized

Simpsonized: Matt Kendrick

Over the last twenty years the Simpsons have been entertaining the hearts of millions. They’ve made over 400 episodes. There have been a ton of guest appearances. Big name appearances include Blink 182, Aerosmith, Gary Coleman, Britney Spears and the list goes on. I think the Simpsons holds the record for being the longest running animated series in history. I couldn’t tell you how many episodes I’ve watched.

But now’s your chance to become Simpsonized! I stumbled onto a site where you can upload your picture and be transformed into a Simpsons like character. It’s all part of a promo for “The Simpsons Movie” and Burger King. This may be old news, but I think its pretty cool. It’s real simple, you upload your picture. You input some stats about yourself. Then you can make adjustments. Once your satisfied with your creation, just export or email out to friends!

As you can see, I’v already Simpsonized myself. Looks like my character came out a little like Waylon Smithers, but without the lust for Mr. Burns. Tell me what you think? Needs a little work? Comments are welcome! I may redo it sometime in the future and repost. If you have any simponsized versions of yourself you’d like to share, send them our way! We’ll post them up here on the site. If for some reason you’ve been living under a rock or have never seen the Simpsons, check the Ultimate Simspons Fan Site. You can watch nearly every episode online! Here’s to Duff!
