A Lesson from Patch Adams

Posted by Matt Kendrick on Tuesday, 3 November, 2009

The last few weeks have been pretty stressful with some projects at work. I’ve ran into a lot of procedure issues with my latest project. Sometimes the solution isn’t easy to find. But I remembered a lesson from the movie Patch Adams. If you haven’t seen it, then you should make it your next movie to watch.

Patch Adams is based on a true story about a man who self-committed himself to mental care center. While at the center, Patch met some interesting people. Then while sharing experiences with others, he realizes his true passion to help people. But one character at the institution shared a valuable lesson. That lesson is that you need to look beyond the problem to find the solution.

I don’t want to ruin a good movie for you. So I won’t tell you the rest of the details about it. But you can check out this clip from the movie about the lesson.
